SPOTLIGHT ON: Rebelle Team 211
Rallying in the Constellations: A Tribute from Team 211, Leave’em Wild
In the motorsports world, we often talk about "finding your line" on the track. But for many, the most important thing they find isn't a coordinate on a map—it’s the person in the seat next to them.
As we continue to highlight our Drive On Kat Scholarship recipients from the 2025 10th Anniversary Rebelle Rally, we are honored to share the story of Team 211, Leave’em Wild: Kathleen Gardner and Jordan Keeth.
For Jordan, this journey wasn't just about the 1,500 miles of desert; it was about a friendship forged in the sand of Glamis and a bond that cancer couldn't break.
The "Trauma-Bond" of the Dunes
Every Rebelle remembers their first training session. The nerves, the overwhelming gear, and the realization of exactly what they’ve signed up for. For Jordan and her teammate Lou, that moment was shared with Kat.
"Kat was the very first friend Lou and I made during our first Rebelle training in Glamis," Jordan shared in her scholarship application. "The three of us instantly bonded—we all felt completely in over our heads, and we were all driving 4Runners. We joked constantly about how we’d better get the vehicle detailed before returning it to its Turo owner."
It’s those moments of humor amidst the "scared shitless" reality of off-roading (Jordan’s words—and we think Kat would definitely laugh at that) that define the Rebelle spirit. Kat’s authenticity was immediate, her soul down-to-earth, and her presence felt like home to those around her.
A Shared Fight
The bond took on a deeper meaning when the news of Kat’s diagnosis broke. For this trio, the fight became personal. Lou, having just navigated her own victory over breast cancer, became a pillar of strength for Kat.
"I’ll never forget the fight in her voice every time we spoke," Jordan recalls. "She wasn’t going down without a fight—and fight she did."
While not every battle ends in the way we hope, the legacy left behind is what fuels us today. As Jordan beautifully put it: "Cancer sucks. There’s no other way to say it." But through the Drive On Kat Fund, that pain is transformed into an engine for others.
Ride On, Kat
Team 211 didn’t just navigate the 2025 Rebelle Rally; they carried a piece of their friend with them through every checkpoint.
"What you’ve created to honor Kat is beautiful. She would love this. I can feel her Rallying up in the constellations as I write this. Ride on, Kat. Ride on."
Turning Grief into Grit
To our donors: This is what your contributions do. You aren't just funding a race; you are honoring friendships, supporting survivors, and keeping the memory of a fierce woman alive in the very place she felt most inspired.
Thank you, Kathleen and Jordan, for your honesty, your heart, and for representing Team 211 with such incredible spirit. We are so proud to have had you on the course.
